Size & measurement guide
Because every item is one-of-a-kind, we don't rely on labels alone — we measure each piece by hand and list the exact numbers. Here's how to use them.
How to measure yourself
- Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- Waist: around your natural waistline.
- Hip: around the fullest part of your hips.
- Inseam: from crotch to ankle along the inside leg.
Compare your numbers to the garment's flat measurements, then allow a little ease for comfort.
Reading garment measurements
We measure garments laid flat, so a "chest" figure of 52cm flat means roughly 104cm around the body. Listings show chest, waist, length, shoulder and sleeve where relevant.
Shoe sizes
Shoe sizing varies by brand and era, so the most reliable figure is the insole length in centimetres. Measure your foot heel-to-toe and match it, adding 0.5–1cm of room.
| UK | EU | Insole (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 39–40 | 25 cm |
| 7 | 41 | 26 cm |
| 8 | 42 | 27 cm |
| 9 | 43 | 28 cm |
| 10 | 44–45 | 29 cm |
